The owner wanted to replace the furniture in the main living space with new seating that would hold up well for a rental home. Fabrics and textures were chosen to work with the owner’s preferred color palette and to blend with the yellow tones found on the walls throughout the home. Cocktail and end tables were painted a slight distressed finish to show less wear.
Additionally, valances were installed to provide visual interest to the room, yet keeping the windows facing the ocean free of any coverings. The ocean-facing windows were projected by a covered porch so heat gain was not a concern to this area. Natural woven shades were selected for the updated bath and bedroom, working with the existing color palette and adding texture and natural tones to the space.
